How to Purchase
SAGE Reference Online is a one time purchase, not a subscription. Choose individual titles or a full collection and keep permanent access to the content.
Ordering
You can order with SAGE directly or through your favorite wholesaler.
Collections and pricing
Encyclopedia and Handbook Collections cost at least 15 percent less than purchasing the same online titles individually. For pricing on a single encyclopedia or handbook, or for consortia pricing, contact the SAGE Reference team for your region.
Free trial
The trial allows access to all content on the SAGE Reference Online platform.
Hosting
No hosting fee is charged during the initial five year period. After that, the annual hosting fee is twenty five dollars ($25.00) per title per year, capped at seven hundred dollars ($700.00). The same model applies to encyclopedias, handbooks, or both.
Access and authentication
SAGE Reference Online supports IP address authentication and Athens. Libraries can also place a search widget on research guides and websites, and load MARC 21 records into the library catalogue.
Ownership and renewal
Once you buy a title you own it. There is no subscription pricing and no annual renewal.
